About the Role

Our reputable client is seeking an experienced Construction Defense Attorney to join their team. This is an in-office position with some hybrid flexibility. This opportunity is ideal for a self-motivated professional who thrives with minimal supervision and is comfortable working independently. The role focuses on defending clients in construction-related disputes and civil litigation.

Key Responsibilities

Represent clients in construction-related litigation, arbitration, and mediation on the defense side.

Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts and related documents.

Provide legal counsel on risk management, compliance, and dispute resolution strategies.

Prepare for and participate in trials; trial experience is a strong plus.

Collaborate with internal teams and clients to deliver practical, business-focused legal solutions.

Qualifications

Licensed to practice law in Colorado and in good standing.

Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction law, with a focus on defense work (preferred).

Ability to work with minimal to no supervision and manage a high level of responsibility.

Strong litigation skills; trial experience is highly desirable.

Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive base salary: $150,000 - $200,000
